Today the Universe granted me the gift of a Bay Leaf Plant. As always I realised that when I want something..and I wish in my heart...then forget about it, it comes to me by some means.
Someone in my office, a very giving person, brought it for me today.
Why does this plant hold so much excitement for me? Well its magickal properties.
Bay Leaf is the Laurel that Emperor's and Kings wore. The plant's use in Magick is said to bring in the qualities of Jupiter, expansion, knowledge and psychic development.
The Priestesses of the Ancient Oracle burnt bay leaf in their insence to prepare them for recieving messages from the gods. The roof of the Inner Sanctum of the Oracle's Temple was covered in Bay Leaf. The heat from the inner fires of the temple caused the room to be filled with smoke from the Bay leaf, creating a heady intoxicating atmosphere for divination.
This year, my goal is to really transcend my self, and to have a new life at the end of it.
The energies from Bay Leaf would do just that.
