Steering our minds

Wicca, and many other mystery traditions hold that understanding the Observer Created Reality phenomenon is important to understand the Power of Magick.
In other words, the Universe is created by our minds. Things we wish to happen, things we wish to takle place, create, invent, see come true, are all driven by human minds each thinking about possibilities of the future.
Christian Mystics even suggest that the Catholic Church knows about this and has executed a careful mode of spiritual learning for its Believer over a few generations. Some say too, that the Church has put aside its true task of teaching the people, and has forgotten its role in revealing the Spiritual Mysteries, hiding it for a few in their secret sect.
Which leads me to the question, does the Church knows about Observer Created Reality? And if they do, why would they persist in creating such a strong fear, or belief in the Devil's existance. Enough people believing in such a being, would bring the being into the Astral Atmosphere at least. Why would any well meaning organisation, want this.
All I can say is maybe they are not aware.
At the end of it all, our spirits which we hold within us are stronger than any which we create in our minds. The fear of finding "evil spirits" when working magic are conjured up by our minds. This is why it is very important to control your thoughts. The image of a "not so friendly being" while we work magic, are the "Demons" that we are told we would encounter when doing magick. We crete them by our fears.
That being said...understand that just as we have the power to create, we also have the power to imagine the little beasties shrivelling to dust if they so much as pop into your head! You are limited only by your imagination.
But I do wonder why anyone would want to keep fear in people's minds by dangling a devil in their conciousness weekly.............
What are they gaining by spreading this fear?......
Feel free to lambaste meh if allyuh want...

What is Wicca? Part one

If you are expecting to gain power, control or manipulate people, then you do not want Wicca; you want a Hollywood movie. People seek out Wicca for magick, and yes there is magick, but not the kind you see in Charmed or the Craft. Wicca, to put it simply, is a nature based faith, with roots over 25,000 years old. There are basics to the Craft such as learning rituals, divination, associations, spell writing. Then there are also pantheons to learn about…and yourself, which perhaps is the most important of all. Additionally, Wicca expects observations of Nature around you, the cycles of the earth, the seasons, the moon and again, yourself. It forces you to question what is important to your spiritual growth and you relationship with yourself. One of the basic questions about Wiccan is always “What do you believe in?”, or “Who do you believe in?” To begin with, there is the All. The All Creative, All spirit, or the One. Everything that exists, exists in the All. Not outside, not separate and apart, but within. This entity is everything; good and bad, male and female, animal, vegetable and mineral…the list goes on. We are connected to the All and all things. All things have a connection to us. The only difference between us and a plant is the levels of consciousness that each has. From the All, the One comes the division of two. These are the Male and Female principles, personified as the God and The Goddess. The God is masculine, the giver of the life principle, and is sometimes represented by the Sun and the Stars. The Goddess is the female principle, represented by the generating Earth and receptive Moon. Wiccans believe in reincarnation. Everything is energy, has energy. Energy never dies; it is transformed into another energy. Death is the point of entry to a new life, one which there is no need to fear. The cycle of life surrounds us; we have removed ourselves from Nature and have become blind to her teachings. Wiccan uses magick, creative prayer or spell working, to connect to the God and Goddess and other facets of the All Creative. Through Magick, each individual empowers themselves to live their fullest existence. Understanding the use of this gift is extremely important for the beginner. These beliefs can be summed up into the following: · The recognition of the Divine, transcending gender, acknowledging the importance of both male and female. · Reverence to Nature and the renewing cycles of life and death. · A positive morality summed up in the basic statement “An it harm none, Love, and do what thou wilt” Seekers may be interested in the following sites: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Pantheon/4465/index.cnt5.html?20079 http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Pantheon/4465/index.cnt3.html?20079

Samhain Approaches
Its coming, the new start in the wheel of the year, Samhain. As a Wiccan, I have found that the Caribbean observance is a different thing. I usually observe the passing alone, quietly casting my circles and working on my goals. Now, the spiritual lonliness has me reaching out to other like-mindd people for the purpose of sharing thoughts and ritual practices.
Why Wicca....because it speaks to what was lost. The sense of ancestry, of conforming with nature, of living in harmony with the land were are on. We seem to be fighting every step of the way. We fight the rain, the floods the landslides.... our mistreatment of the land leads to mistreatment of each other. The balance is no longer sought.
This time of the year marks the return to darkness, and by this I mean that the darker part of the 24 hour cylce is longer than the day. Our focus turns to the night...the illuminating powers of the moon and stars, and the energies they bring to the Craft.
Samhain, the veil thins, the dead and the living can reach out to each other, acknowledge the cycle and begin again. The dark time is one of reflection, of assesing ones purpose, of incubating in the womb, as the god is incubating in the womb of Mother Earth.
Wicca calls us to acknowledge both parts of ourselves, and intergrate them into a fuller, wholer person......
I practice privately, and I seek guidance from the ALL. This can only be found in sparks from the ALL...which can be sought in the gods and goddesses here on earth.
All I seek is community... online or otherwise.
