The Wiccan Rede - part 2

www.wicca.com/celtic/wicca/rede.htm

Continuing with the Rede:

Light of eye and soft of touch, speak you little, listen much.
Honor the Old Ones in deed and name,
let love and light be our guides again.

Deosil go by the waxing moon, chanting out the joyful tune.
Widdershins go when the moon doth wane,
and werewolf howls by the dread wolfsbane.

Anyone want to take a crack at this before I make my comments??

Jason asked if it is a marriage vow.....no. More like a guide to magick and how you should conduct yourself.

Judge Little, speak softly, listen to all points of view.
Honor those gone in the past for the wisdom they can share or have passed on.

Deosil is clockwise. With the waxing moon Magick is worked for increase, and the motion in clockwise.
Widdershins is counterclockwise, which is used with the waning moon. Magick is worked for decrease or removal.
Wolfsbane refers to the Dark Moon. The plant is a reference to Hekate, Goddess of the Dark Moon, which requires a different type of magick altogether.
